URAC is delighted to announce a Call for Entries for the 2009 Best Practices in Health Care Consumer Empowerment and Protection Awards, Conference and Exhibit Program which shines a spotlight on proven best practices within the health care industry. We are pleased to honor the achievements of health information/ decision support companies, health management companies, health plans and health networks, pharmacy quality management companies, and workers’ compensation companies, which are actively pursuing practices to advance consumer empowerment and protection in an exceptional, measurable and reproducible way. You are encouraged to search out the star practices within your organizations and acknowledge their outstanding results by submitting entries for the 2009 Best Practices Awards. At the Best Practices Conference and Exhibit, we expect a broad range of stakeholders to attend including those who are seeking information about the best of the best programs, so they can transfer successful practices and stay on top of the latest methods and approaches. We also expect to see purchasers of services in these segments who want to clearly identify the leaders in the market who excel in consumer empowerment and protection. The deadline to submit entries for the 2009 Best Practices Awards is September 15, 2008.
