URAC, a nonprofit healthcare accreditation organization in Washington, DC, began in 1990 providing utilization review accreditation. Becoming one of the fastest growing healthcare accreditation agencies in the world, URAC expanded its programs to accredit health plans, pharmacies and other provider organizations. Our mission is to advance quality in healthcare through leadership, accreditation, measurement and innovation.
