URAC Vendor Certification for Disease Management

The Vendor Certification program is designed for companies that provide one or more products or services that support the capabilities of URAC-accredited companies but that do not provide the full scope of services required under an existing URAC accreditation module. For example, companies that are vendors to disease management, case management, or claims management programs but are not themselves DM, CM or claims management organizations, may apply for certification. Any URAC accredited organization doing business with a certified vendor receives “credit” for meeting URAC’s standards in the areas covered by the vendor’s certification.

Under the program, companies must comply with URAC's Core Accreditation standards plus selected standards from a URAC module. URAC and the applicant determine which additional standards are met from any URAC accreditation module, including URAC's Disease Management, Case Management or Utilization Management modules. The company must demonstrate how their product or service complies with the selected standards. Upon completion of a rigorous review process, vendors receive URAC's Core Accreditation plus a Certificate of Compliance with the selected standards.
