Measurement
Analysis and Reporting
URAC is on a multi-year, multi-phase path for developing and reporting mandatory performance measures. Each phase (described below) will last a minimum of one calendar year.
Phase 1: The URAC-specified mandatory performance measures are reported on the time frequency specified and used with the focus on an organization’s internal performance improvement and oversight activities.
Phase 2: Mandatory measures become subject to an external auditing/verification process and, where there are sufficient numbers of accredited programs, de-identified aggregate reports would become available to the participating organizations and interested third parties (employers, regulators, health policy analysts, etc.).
Phase 3: Measures that have undergone an external auditing/verification process would be included in un-blinded public reporting formats on the URAC website for access by consumers, employers, regulators, and other interested parties. Accredited organizations may also report this information directly to the public.
