Comprehensive Wellness Accreditation Program Overview
Since the late 70’s, wellness organizations have been offering a variety of programs and services under the wellness banner. Through URAC’s new Health Management: Comprehensive Wellness Accreditation program, employers and wellness organizations now have a means to set themselves apart, and purchasers have a tool to evaluate organizations and programs based on rigorous and comprehensive standards.
What URAC accreditation can do for your organization:
Facilitate Best Practices
URAC accreditation demonstrates that you are devoted to using the best practices in your field and reinforces your commitment to your clients.Maximize Investment
For many companies, health costs consume almost half of corporate profits. Our program evaluation standards give you a tool to demonstrate that your corporate wellness programs are a long term answer for keeping employees healthy. Companies profit by offering reliable and cost efficient wellness programs.Provide External Validation
URAC is a non-profit independent accrediting body that establishes and confirms the soundness of your program. This ensures that employees are provided with a wellness program that has been reviewed and meets important consumer protection standards.Offer measurable quality
Accreditation is a recognizable endorsement of quality and value for a wellness program and like ISO, the Baldridge Awards, or the Good Housekeeping Seal, accreditation provides an external validation of your organization’s commitment to quality. The URAC seal demonstrates that your program has undergone an intensive and all-encompassing review and has met the highest standards for education, care and service delivery. Accreditation gives your program a distinct advantage.Provide Consumer Protection and Empowerment
URAC’s standards were created and developed by a multi-stakeholder committee of experts representing diverse interests in health care. Employers, wellness vendors, providers, insurers, consumers, benefit consultants, and the public interest all had an equal voice as these standards and measures were created. The culmination of these efforts are a set of standards and measures that encourages industry-wide quality improvement, promotes industry best practices, while protecting and empowering consumers.
