URAC Research and Grants

Quality improvement is an essential component of an effective health care organization. URAC's accreditation standards require accredited companies to engage in quality improvement programs relevant to their business operations. In addition, health care organizations are often asked by purchasers and regulators to report on the quality of care.

URAC's research activities address a number of priority areas for URAC-accredited companies. Issues of interest include:

  • Patient safety
  • Medical management – UM, DM and CM
  • PPOs
  • Workers’ Compensation
  • Health Information on the Web
