Pharmacy Core Accreditation Webinar: Meeting the Intent of the Standards

Join Laura Lee Higginbotham, RN, MS, URAC clinical reviewer, for this two-hour webinar on Friday, February 24, 2017, 2-4 p.m. ET, to get a detailed review of the standards and review process for URAC’s Pharmacy Core Accreditation Program.

URAC accreditation requires that an organization demonstrate compliance with numerous standards that focus on quality and best practices.  With so many requirements, it can be hard to focus on the intent of the standards and organize what you need to do to meet them.

The Pharmacy Core Standards serve as the common foundation for all of URAC’s Pharmacy Quality Management accreditation programs. Organizations must meet the Pharmacy Core standards and the function-specific requirements to be URAC-accredited.

Note: This webinar does not cover the details of the URAC accreditation process. This is covered in a separate webinar and at the in-person workshops.

In this webinar, you will discover:

  • The basic components of URAC’s Pharm Core standards and what is needed to meet their intent
  • The documentation needed to submit a complete application for desktop review;
  • Validation Review requirements and activities used by URAC’s review staff
  • The scoring methodology of the standards and how reviewers apply them
  • Examples of how other organizations have demonstrated compliance to the Pharm Core Standards
  • Key elements of a quality improvement project
  • Helpful educational and support resources available to the applicant during the accreditation process
  • And more
