The January 1, 2018 release of URAC’s Core Standards v4.0 represents a major revision to the standards, which was initially rolled out with Case Management v6.0. All organizations that will undergo reaccreditation for an accreditation program that requires the Core standards, as well as new applicants, are encouraged to attend this workshop. Organizations that are applying for Organizational Management Certification will also benefit from this content.

Core Standards are basic standards with which most URAC-accredited entities must comply. These standards, which serve as a common foundation for many of URAC's accreditation programs, address several key organizational management functions that are important for any healthcare organization.  All companies accredited under programs that include Core will need to meet the basic requirements of the Core standards, as well as the function-specific requirements for the particular accreditation program. Also, the Organizational Management Certification program standards are derived from the Core Accreditation standards.

The four Focus Areas to be addressed are:

  • Risk Management
  • Consumer Protection and Empowerment
  • Operations and Infrastructure
  • Performance Management and Improvement

This workshop includes:

  • URAC Overview
  • Scoring Methodology
  • Electronic data submission process
  • Core Accreditation Standards v4.0

Program Objectives:

  • Understand the accreditation standards
  • Learn what is needed to meet the intent of the standards
  • Determine the documentation that is needed to submit with the application

Who Should Attend:

Designed to provide detailed information about URAC’s accreditation process and the Core standards, this focused training session is ideal for those considering URAC accreditation, first-time applicants, and all organizations that will undergo reaccreditation in a program that requires the Core standards. Organizations that are applying for Organizational Management Certification will also benefit.
