URAC’s Health Plan Accreditation is a nationally recognized symbol of excellence, respected throughout the healthcare industry and by the federal and state governments as an assurance that the organization meets rigorous standards and measures of quality and operational integrity, with a strong focus on consumer protection and empowerment.

Our accreditation standards workshops are developed and taught reviewers who have worked with hundreds of applicants. This workshop walks you through the scoring methodology and how to meet the intent of each of the Health Plan accreditation standards. (Note: The workshop does not cover the Core standards. To learn about Core standards, please register for the October 10 Core workshop).

URAC’s Medicare Advantage Accreditation reduces the burden of regulatory compliance and punitive audits by CMS, as it provides deemed status for Medicare Advantage in six areas.

This workshop will also walk you through the Medicare Advantage accreditation standards, and why URAC has designed the MA Accreditation Program to be a stand-alone program that meets CMS requirements. Health plans and payers that want to pursue Medicare Advantage accreditation are not required to also pursue Health Plan accreditation.

This workshop will address:

  • URAC Overview
  • Scoring Methodology
  • Electronic data submission process
  • Health Plan Accreditation Standards v7.3
  • Medicare Advantage Accreditation Standards v4.0

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is a great opportunity for organizations considering accreditation, first-time applicants, and those undergoing re-accreditation, to get an in-depth training of the health plan standards. Additionally, health plans and payers entering the Medicare Advantage market will benefit from a solid understanding of how URAC’s MA accreditation program will be an effective compliance tool.
