URAC Leader Salutes Health Care Heroes in National Healthcare Quality Week Statement

Friday, October 23rd, 2015

URAC President and CEO Kylanne Green commented on the observance of National Healthcare Quality Week October 18-24, 2015:

We salute the men and women who have committed themselves to the ongoing improvement of the delivery of medical care across the United States.

While National Healthcare Quality Week lasts just seven days, URAC recognizes the job of providing quality health care never ends. And URAC – through our accreditation, education, and training programs – stands with these dedicated individuals as we collectively work to build and refine methods of care to perform better and deliver more value even as demand increases.

When this week of celebration and acknowledgement ends, there will still be much work to be done in improving American health care. These hardworking people will redouble their efforts, and URAC will be there to verify their quality and offer assistance.

For 25 years, URAC has been the independent leader in promoting health care quality through accreditation, education, and measurement. URAC offers a wide range of quality benchmarking programs that reflect the latest changes in health care and provide a symbol of excellence for organizations to showcase their validated commitment to quality and accountability. URAC’s evidence-based measures and standards are developed through inclusive engagement with a broad range of stakeholders committed to improving the quality of health care.
