URAC President and CEO Kylanne Green to Speak at 2016 Armada Specialty Pharmacy Summit

Wednesday, December 9th, 2015

URAC President and CEO Kylanne Green is among the speakers already confirmed for the 2016 Armada Specialty Pharmacy Summit.

To be held at the Wynn and Encore resorts in Las Vegas on May 2nd through 6th, the Armada summit is billed as “‘the must event’ for all health care professionals” focused on specialty pharmacy. URAC will continue its multiyear sponsorship of the event.

Green will join approximately 125 other speakers who are set to address the thousands of expected Armada summit attendees on key issues affecting the specialty pharmacy field. URAC will have a booth in the exhibit hall to educate attendees on the vital role accreditation serves to validate pharmacy quality.

With over 400 specialty pharmacies now choosing URAC accreditation to validate their commitment to quality, Green is uniquely positioned to share her insights on the industry at the Armada summit.

The high cost of specialty medications has caught the attention of many stakeholders. Public demands for cost containment may be realized through innovative payer management strategies or the forces of government cost controls. Whichever path evolves, it is imperative that quality patient care remain a top priority that can be demonstrated to payers, regulators, and consumers.

In ways no others can, Green will articulate how accreditation assures that quality is the focus in dispensing and patient management as well as acts as a catalyst for quality improvement and ultimately improved outcomes.
