URAC to Participate in First Annual Case In Point Platinum Case Management Awards

Washington, D.C. – April 14, 2010 – URAC, the nation’s first case management accreditor is proud to participate in the First Annual Case In Point Platinum Case Management Awards. This premier event will honor the case management leaders across the continuum of care whose innovative programs strive to provide the highest level of quality health care services.

“Honoring innovative case management practices through these awards aligns directly with URAC’s mission to promote continuous improvement in the quality and efficiency of health care management across the continuum of care,” said Christine Leyden, R.N., MSN, URAC Senior Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer. “URAC is pleased to be presenting an award on behalf of Case In Point, honoring these dedicated professionals. Our participation is an example of how URAC case management programs strive to improve a multidisciplinary approach to the transition of care for consumers and their families.”

The first annual Case In Point Platinum Awards will cover a range of 25 categories including best managed care program, best independent case management program and best overall case management program. The awards provide recognition to the exceptional work and measurable value being delivered across the continuum of care. Winners of the Case In Point Platinum Awards will be honored on April 20, 2010, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. A special issue of Case In Point, published in April, will feature the winning entrants.
