WASHINGTON, DC – March 20, 2019 – URAC is moving to maximize opportunity for public involvement in standards and accreditation revisions by increasing the usage of online public comment system Smart Comment.
As URAC seeks to improve the quality of healthcare delivered to patients, we look to increasingly involve experts in healthcare field and seek their assistance in the development of appropriate standards. URAC continually seeks to hone a set of standards that provide meaningful value, that organizations can be proud of, and the participation of the public is an important part of this process.
The Smart Comment system also provides URAC with a more accurate record of information, allowing standards approval committees to accurately reflect on comments from the public when revising and updating standards.
URAC is currently accepting public comments on Home Infusion Therapy Accreditation Standards until Friday, March 22, 2019, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. We encourage members of the public to submit suggestions on this proposed program and all future healthcare accreditation programs aimed at positively impacting the healthcare patients receive.
