In recognition of National Nurses Week, URAC proudly celebrates the more than four million licensed nurses across the United States who are at the heart of our nation’s health care system. The week of May 6–12 is a time to honor the compassion, skill and dedication that nurses bring to every aspect of patient care.
Nurses are the largest group within the health professions, and their role in improving outcomes, advancing safety and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care cannot be overstated. From bedside to boardroom, nurses lead with integrity, empathy and a deep commitment to improving lives.
At URAC, we understand that health care excellence depends on the people who provide it. Our accreditation and certification programs are designed to support organizations that prioritize quality and empower clinical teams, including nurses, to deliver the highest standard of care. Nurses play a vital role in shaping policies, informing best practices and elevating the performance of the entire health care system.
