At Newsweek’s Digital Health Care Forum on September 16, leaders examined how technology and AI are reshaping care delivery in a complex environment of rising health care costs and workforce pressures. URAC President and CEO Shawn Griffin, MD joined the panel conversation, “CMIOs and CNIOs: The Missing Link in Change Management” to highlight the critical role of physician leaders in guiding responsible adoption of new technologies. He emphasized that AI and digital health must be integrated with clear clinical goals and accountability measures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
URAC shares that vision and recently launched the nation’s first Health Care AI Accreditation. The program sets standards for transparency, safety and accountability in both AI use and development, giving health care organizations a trusted framework to integrate this technology responsibly.
