Mental Health Month: Better workplaces start with mental health
May is Mental Health Month and it’s a great time to help raise awareness and encourage conversations about mental health. It’s a time to reflect on how mental health affects individuals, families and communities, and how different parts of daily life can support mental wellbeing.
For many people, the workplace is a central part of that discussion. Employee expectations around the role of work have shifted and more people are paying attention to how employers approach workplace mental health, from leadership and culture to how they develop and communicate about access to resources and support.
As Mental Health Month continues, it’s an opportunity for organizations of all sizes and industries to consider how they support employee wellbeing and where they can strengthen that support.
