As artificial intelligence reshapes health care, organizations must balance rapid innovation with strict safety standards. Guidehealth, RediMinds and SandsRx are the first to earn URAC’s Health Care AI Accreditation, marking a major milestone for responsible governance across the industry.
While these companies operate in different areas of health care, they all built strong oversight, transparency and accountability into the way they deploy AI tools.
How the First Three Accredited Organizations Leverage AI:
- SandsRx uses AI to streamline daily pharmacy operations and expand services for patients
- Guidehealth uses AI to support value-based care and population health by connecting patients with care programs and supporting care management nurses
- RediMinds uses AI to power data workflows and optimize case management within its Center for Independent Dispute Resolution.
“Guidehealth, RediMinds and SandsRx are setting an important example for the industry, and we congratulate them for advancing innovation with accountability.”
“As artificial intelligence plays a larger role in health care, strong governance helps organizations deploy these technologies safely, ethically and transparently,” said Shawn Griffin, MD, President and CEO of URAC. “Guidehealth, RediMinds and SandsRx are setting an important example for the industry, and we congratulate them for advancing innovation with accountability.”
URAC’s Health Care AI Accreditation evaluates how organizations govern, implement, monitor and improve their use of technology. For these first three organizations, the process did more than highlight their current strengths. It allowed them to sharpen the policies that will protect patients and consumers as technology continues to evolve.
