URAC’s rapidly growing Health Care AI Accreditation reflects increasing demand for independent validation of how artificial intelligence is developed and used in health care. Eight organizations have now earned URAC’s Health Care AI Accreditation(opens in new tab). Since the launch of the program less than a year ago, eight organizations have earned URAC’s Health Care AI Accreditation.

The rapid growth makes Health Care AI Accreditation one of the fastest-adopted accreditation programs in URAC’s history and reflects an increasingly urgent need across the industry: as artificial intelligence becomes part of health care delivery and operations, organizations want a trusted framework for demonstrating that they are developing and using it responsibly.

The eight organizations that have earned URAC Health Care AI Accreditation are:

The accredited organizations demonstrate that responsible AI is relevant across the health care spectrum. They include organizations working in pharmacy, virtual behavioral health care, independent medical review, care management and other technology-enabled health care services. Their applications of AI vary, but the need for strong governance, oversight and accountability crosses sectors.
