URAC, the nation’s most complete health accreditor, is proud to announce that CVS Health has achieved URAC Health Equity Accreditation and is the first organization to do so.
URAC developed its Health Equity Accreditation in collaboration with the National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) to support health care organizations as they identify and reduce health disparities.
“As the first organization to pursue and earn this accreditation, CVS Health shows dedication to building a more equitable health care system,” said Dr. Shawn Griffin, president and CEO of URAC.
URAC Health Equity Accreditation focuses on promoting health equity principles, supporting initiatives to eliminate health disparities and ensuring high-quality care for disparate populations with disparities in health outcomes. Any health care organization can pursue this accreditation.
