POLITICO recently highlighted URAC’s bipartisan congressional briefing, Health Care AI: Innovation, Safety and the Role of Accreditation, hosted in cooperation with the offices of Reps. Jay Obernolte and Ted Lieu. The briefing brought together health care leaders to discuss how independent accreditation can help support safe, responsible and trustworthy AI use across the health care system.
URAC President and CEO Shawn Griffin moderated the conversation, which featured Jenn Richards of URAC, Natalie Park of Pharmesol and Stephen McGee of SandsRx. Panelists discussed the need for clear governance, accountability and oversight as organizations develop, deploy and use AI in health care.
