Community pharmacists are often the first place people will turn for a simple infection such as a urinary tract infection (UTI). The role of the pharmacist and coordination with other members of the care team becomes even more important when a UTI is coupled with a co-existing infection, allergies to medication, or the UTI becomes frequent enough to disrupt a person’s quality of life.
Organizations that earn URAC’s Pharmacy Services Accreditation demonstrate a commitment to coordinating patient care, protecting patient privacy and showing quality improvement over time. Learn more about URAC’s Pharmacy Services Accreditation here.
