URAC President and CEO Shawn Griffin, MD has been named to Washingtonian’s 500 Most Influential People of 2026, recognizing leaders who are shaping policy, business and innovation across the Washington, DC region.
The list highlights top experts and advocates outside of government who are shaping the most important policy conversations in Washington. Dr. Griffin’s inclusion reflects both his leadership and URAC’s growing visibility in advancing quality, safety and accountability across the health care landscape. Washingtonian notes his role in advising Congress and HHS on artificial intelligence and helping establish the nation’s first accreditation system for AI in health care, work that aligns closely with URAC’s focus on emerging areas of quality and oversight.
