URAC hosted a Congressional Briefing on June 29 to help policymakers better understand how accreditation can support responsible artificial intelligence use in health care. Presented in cooperation with Congressman Jay Obernolte and Congressman Ted Lieu, the briefing focused on innovation, accountability and the role of accreditation in building trust.
With the US Capitol as the backdrop, URAC leaders and representatives from SandsRx and TJM Labs shared firsthand perspectives on how health care organizations can use accreditation to support responsible AI adoption. The conversation highlighted the need for practical frameworks that help organizations manage risk, strengthen oversight, support transparency and protect patients as AI use expands across the health care system.
