Washington, D.C. – URAC, the nation’s most complete health care accreditor, has announced the development of a new Health Care AI Accreditation aimed at guiding organizations in the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in health care. The accreditation will set standards for AI implementation, ensuring patient safety while addressing clinical, ethical and operational challenges across the health care spectrum. This accreditation is being developed in collaboration with leaders from CTeL’s Blue Ribbon Collaborative and with input from The Federation of State Medical Boards. URAC is shaping standards that will drive the future of AI in health care.
URAC is inviting health care leaders, AI experts, policymakers and other stakeholders to join URAC’s Health Care AI Advisory Committee. This committee will provide critical input on accreditation requirements ahead of the program’s anticipated launch in late 2025. Interested individuals and organizations can register for the Advisory Committee through March 14, 2025. For more details, read the full press release.
