What inspired you to enter the health care industry?
I was in a science class in the eighth grade and knew I would become a nurse. I started studying nursing at a vocational high school and went onto college to complete my Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Why did you come to URAC?
It was a great job opportunity, and I stay because I love it.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
I love the diversity. One minute I’m working on program standards development or revisions, and the next I’m helping a client with a standards question interpretation or navigation of the contracting process.
What motivates you to do your best at work every day?
I truly believe that accreditation makes health care services better for consumers. Additionally, I want to provide the type of service that I would expect if I were in my clients’ shoes.
