It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace.
This is the theme of October 10, 2024 World Mental Health Day.
Employed adults spend more time working than any other activity during their waking hours. Our workplaces can be forces for good when organizations focus on the real mental health needs of their employees. Our workplaces can be sources of meaning, purpose and belonging. Leaders know that addressing the real mental health issues of their teams will pay benefits.
Organizations know that improving the mental health of their team members can lead to increased productivity, reduced absenteeism and presenteeism, and better morale across the board, whether their team members are office-based, remote, or a combination of the two.
Investing in your employees is investing in your organization's future
The URAC Mental Health at Work Accreditation is based on the Mental Health Index from One Mind at work, which is a tool employers can use to assess their mental health support initiatives and receive feedback on how to improve, grow or shift these initiatives. The Accreditation:
- Provides recognition to organizations that are prioritizing mental health at work.
- Promotes growth in mental health awareness and strategies within the employer space.
Earning URAC's accreditation helps your organization build and improve employee mental health and promotes positive experiences.
