Overview
URAC’s improved Dental Network Accreditation program reduces accreditation application document uploads by more than 50%, saving considerable time by eliminating repetitive steps!
Earning Dental Network Accreditation from URAC shows that you maintain a network of high-quality providers who meet rigorous industry standards to deliver preventive and routine dental care and more.
The URAC Difference
When URAC updated our Dental Network Accreditation, we aligned it with our latest Health Network revisions, shortening the accreditation timeline and incorporating industry innovations such as AI and machine learning. We also wanted to ensure that the new set of standards can work as proxy for regulatory requirements and provide organizations with a framework that will help them feel prepared to meet changing requirements.
Benefits of Accreditation
URAC Accreditation assures patients and purchasers that your dental network meets professional qualifications and has been properly vetted through a stringent credentialing process. Accreditation shows that you continuously monitor and evaluate provider performance, taking quality of care, compliance and patient feedback into consideration to determine ongoing network participation.
Additional benefits of Dental Network Accreditation include:
- Patient protections, including formal policies and procedures for confidentiality, informed consent, complaints, dispute resolution, consumer safety investigations and other issues
- Risk management oversight and review protocols that reduce liabilities, enhance data security and ensure compliance
- Ongoing process and quality improvements that enhance care delivery, ensure sound provider practices and optimize operational efficiencies
What to Expect
Within six months or less, we will conduct an independent assessment of your dental network. While our experts define the standards of excellence, they do not prescribe how your organization must meet the standards, providing a flexible framework for continuous improvement.
URAC’s thorough approach stimulates innovation through email, conference calls and educational webinars.
We award accreditation for three years. Review our Dental Network Standards-at-a-Glance for more information.
