URAC is proud to be one of almost 350 organizations that recently signed a letter to Congressional leadership urging Congress to establish permanent or long-term access to telehealth.
“Telehealth allows increased access to care for rural populations, people with disabilities and those who may not have transportation to medical facilities,” says URAC’s President and CEO, Shawn Griffin, MD. “At URAC, we believe quality telehealth should be a treatment option that’s available to patients wherever they live.”
According to Daniel Spirn, JD, MA, URAC’s Vice President for Government Relation and Public Affairs, “We urge elected officials to support the continuation of telehealth flexibilities that began during the COVID era and have continued through 2024.”
URAC is the nation’s leading independent accreditor for telehealth. The accreditation ensures that telehealth services are safe and secure for patients and providers. Learn more about URAC’s telehealth accreditation here.
