URAC accredits many types of healthcare organizations based on their function. URAC’s accreditation programs provide a range of services, from organizational review of health plan standards to boosting quality within a single functional area, such as case management or credentialing.
URAC accreditation adds value to these organizations’ programs by providing an external seal of approval and promoting quality improvement. Any organization that meets accreditation program standards — and where applicable, measures — can seek accreditation. This includes various types of entities such as hospitals, health maintenance organizations, preferred provider organizations, independent review organizations, pharmacies and provider groups.
